Mayor Jack Depsey turns the first sod as RV Oceanside gets underway
On Friday, 18th January 2019, the RV Oceanside team, along with our families, associates and supporters participated in a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the official commencement of construction of the village.
Following almost 18 months of planning, this is the first step in transforming our former 40 hectare cane field into an exciting new community with sprawling parklands, resort style communities and eco-friendly smart homes. RV Oceanside will be more than just a gated community, it will be our legacy development and a place that we will be proud to call home.
“Burnett Heads and this beautiful region, it’s the best kept secret. That’s why, for us to have the Wilson and Whalley families involved in this particular project is just fantastic.”
– Bundaberg Mayor, Mr Jack Dempsey
2019 and 2020 will see huge change to the site at 50 Marshall Street, Burnett Heads, with bulk earthworks to commence in the coming weeks.
Following this, civil works will commence on Stage One of the village, which will encompass 79 homesites, the majority of our community facilities, and major upgrades to the surrounding council roads, ensuring safe and easy access to RV Oceanside.
