Bundaberg sparkles at Christmas time. There’s a great array of festive events which you can get involved with.
Pageant of Lights
The very popular Pageant of Lights is happening again this year starting at 5:30pm on December 5th. Some say this is the highlight of the season – when Bourbong Street is transformed into a festive wonderland. There will be spectacular light displays, live entertainment, market stalls, and delicious food. Win a brand new caravan worth $69,990 (tickets available at Bundaberg Services Club). Funds raised are going to the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal which gives to those in need.
Carols by Candlelight
Nothing says Christmas quite like singing carols under the stars. Bundaberg’s Carols by Candlelight brings families and friends together at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct. You can catch performances by local artists and choirs and there will be food stalls. Bring a picnic blanket and join in the community spirit!
Santa’s Workshop at the Botanic Gardens
If you have family nearby or coming to stay, then Santa’s Workshop is a must-do activity. It’s on in the Botanic Gardens and there will be arts and crafts, storytelling and a photo opportunity with Santa. It’s a magical experience the kids will absolutely love.

Christmas in the Park
This is a free, family-friendly event that’s happening on Thursday 12th December at Alexandra Park on Quay Street. Food and music will start at 5:30pm and the community carols start at 7pm. We’re looking forward to hearing the children’s choir this year.
